Arts Council England’s Artsmark award celebrates schools that champion the arts and strive for excellence in their provision.
An award designed by schools for schools to make it more relevant to the changing educational landscape and, as such, it seeks to help schools strike a balance in meeting EBACC and STEM priorities.
The Artsmark award is a useful, practical and valuable tool for enriching a school’s arts provision and ensuring the myriad of benefits brought by the arts are infused across the curriculum and the school community.
Artsmark has a common sense application process that is light on paperwork and flexible to how each school is run. Achieving Artsmark is a simple, straightforward process, with guidance and support available throughout your journey from Artswork, the Bridge Organisation for the South East.
Arts Award is a unique national qualification that supports anyone up to the age of 25 years old to grow as an artist and leader. Arts Award enables young people to progress their learning throughout their school life and beyond into further education and employment.
Arts Award has five levels, four of which (Explore, Bronze, Silver and Gold) are on the Qualifications and Credit Framework. (QCF) Arts Award Discover is an introductory award.
Offering Arts Award can also help schools to demonstrate certain elements of the OFSTED and Teaching Standards Framework and provides great links across the curriculum.
