Partners > Switch Youth Services
Switch Youth Services provides KaMCOP outreach activities to partner schools and colleges.
Switch Youth Services is a newly formed Charitable Incorporated Organisation. Their main objective is to support the personal, social and emotional development of young people (11-21, up to 25 with a learning difficulty or disability) through informal education.
Switch Youth Services operate an inclusive town centre youth café in the heart of Maidstone that places an emphasis on respect, conversation and reflection, while offering non-directive advice and guidance that encourages responsibility and aids young people in their transition from adolescence to adulthood. In addition to the youth hub, they engage young people with programmes that respond to need as it is presented. They offer a wide range of programmes that include Crime Diversion, Anger Management, Healthy Relationships and Substance Misuse as well as conducting outreach within the community.
They also promote and support more traditional formal education. Their work in this area includes raising aspirations, motivation and attainment by working alongside young people to support the development of their confidence, self-esteem and academic resilience while exploring any underpinning barriers to engagement.
Switch Youth Services are pleased to be a partner of KaMCOP as they support the widening participation of young people in to Higher Education.
