UCA Half Term Events

In the October Half Term, the University for the Creative Arts ran two events:

Arts Award Fastrack Fashion Holiday Club

This holiday club was for for students in Years 9-13. They took part in a range of fashion workshops from fashion illustration to making macramé and weaving accessories. The students also visited the London Fashion and Textile Museum before showcasing their work to family and friends at an exhibition held at UCA on the last day. Throughout the holiday club students were working towards their Bronze Arts Award, a Level 1 qualification.

Owl Life Drawing & Illustration Masterclass

UCA took part in the Big Draw Festival and held an Owl Life Drawing and Illustration Masterclass for students in Years 9-13. The Masterclass gave students the opportunity to use a range of facilities and skills whilst taking part in fun and enjoyable activity, in line with the Big Draw Theme for 2018, Play.

Working from live owls, students created artwork from a range of creative disciplines including fine art, illustration and 3D modelling. Students who took part were working towards a Discover Arts Award, whilst building upon their portfolios and creative skillsets.
