UCA: Me-Zine Masterclass

  • 17th February 2021
  • Hosted by University for the Creative ArtsDelivered at: Off campus

This 1-day online Masterclass delivered by creative workshop tutor, Zo Defferay, will give you the opportunity to learn new creative techniques and you will also take part in some mindful drawing too. UCA's Masterclasses are a great opportunity for you to explore a new creative discipline, build your portfolio of work and find out more about Creative Careers and university. Plus, you will achieve a Discover Arts Award qualification.

During the workshop, students will take part in some mindful drawing to create their own Me-Zine/Fanzine. They will learn how to create a zine and will reflect on their favourite things they do in the day.  They will make an 8-page autobiographical fanzine celebrating themselves, looking at some of their favourite things in a day and drawing them.  This will help them to focus on positive wellbeing and what they do during their day that makes them feel happy. The result will be a Me’zine totally unique to them which they could extend the process by making one for their friends or family members.  All materials are provided prior to the workshop.

  • You must be a current Year 7 or Year 8 student to participate in this workshop.
  • This workshop will take place via an online platform therefore participants must have Internet access.
  • Successful applicants will be provided with a free materials pack for the workshop.
