More Than One Direction

  • Event upon request - virtual delivery
  • Hosted by Canterbury Christ Church UniversityDelivered at: Canterbury campus, Medway campus, Can be delivered in your school/college

This popular activity is aimed at younger students, who are given the task of creating a fictional character which they will take on a journey through school, further education, University and the working world.

Students will be given a description of their student, including their background and interests and they will develop a progression route from GCSE, through to Further and Higher Education, using a range of literature and guidelines, eventually following their student through into a career of their choice. At the end of the session, students will present their characters journey and explain decisions taken at various stages of their educational life.

Whilst students are playing a game and taking a character through school and beyond, they are learning about Exam choices, the differences between 6th form and College, options after GCSEs, university and careers.

Due to the pandemic this event will be delivered virtually. Schools will be given a log in and teachers will display the main deliverer on a screen. Students will be in groups of 4 and will have a laptop with live access to an ambassador who will support them. A printable pack will be sent via email to the teacher supporting.
