Abstract Landscapes

  • Dates available on request
  • Hosted by University for the Creative ArtsDelivered at: Farnham Campus (Tunbridge Wells), Can be delivered in your school/college

This workshop allows you to create your own 3D Metropolis from the words of ‘Invisible Cities’ by Italo Calvino, using drawing and paper modelling.

In the first part of the workshop, using extracts from the book, you will interpret descriptions of surreal cities into experimental micro/macro drawings. We cover a variety of experimental drawing processes to start bringing the cities to life, looking at form, texture and colour.

In the second part of the workshop, these drawings are expanded and built up into 3D landscapes using a variety of modelling materials.

Wednesday, Thursday & Friday.
